But there is tension in the air and, when Kate finally leaves, Ian makes a move to kiss Jane. Jane, however, is surprised at his advance. Despite his luck with a lady, Den is still lonely and seeks solace at the bookies'. Elsewhere, on what would have been Arthur's 60th birthday, Pauline and Martin share fond memories of him; Dot teaches Sonia how to make her famous sponge, fearing that she might not be around for much longer; and Adi plucks up the courage to ask Sasha out on a date.
